Chalet Mondschein sits at the very top of Belalp, at 2,150 m — with unobstructed views of over 18 Valais four-thousanders. Ski-in / ski-out directly from the front door. In the evenings, the sky above the chalet transforms into an extraordinarily clear sea of stars — far from any light pollution, a sight you won't easily forget.

The chalet accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, complemented by a spacious gallery as a retreat.

Bedrooms

Holzzimmer (Wood Room): Double bed, warm wood panelling and charming details featuring blacknose sheep motifs — a touch of Valais character.

Steinbock Room: 2 single beds. Can be used as a single room — the second bed can be placed alongside the first.

Murmeltier Room: 2 single beds and a small desk — also ideal for working remotely. Can likewise be used as a single room, second bed placeable alongside the first.

Bathrooms

Large bathroom with whirlpool bathtub and separate shower.

Small bathroom with shower on the 1st floor.

Living area

Large dining table, two seating areas and a Swedish wood stove. The living area will be renovated in autumn 2026 — with a new panoramic window, a window seat, and a refurbishment.

Gallery

A retreat for play and relaxation — with Kapla blocks, books, games, a PlayStation 3 and TV.

Kitchen

Fully equipped: dishwasher, oven, Nespresso machine, induction hob, raclette and fondue set.

Basement

Storage for suitcases, ski boots and skis. Laundry tower with washing machine and dryer.

Internet

WiFi hotspot available throughout the chalet.

The chalet is not set up for toddlers — the lower staircase is not childproofed.
